Chiron have recently joined the Oil in Water Club.

In addition to biomarkers, Chiron, who are based in Trondheim, supply reference standards for petroleum, geochemical, and environmental analysis, as well as chiral and other fine chemicals of pharmaceutical interest.

Turner Design Hydrocarbon Instruments Join

Turner Design Hydrocarbon Instruments, who provide instrumentation for the measurement of hydrocarbons in water, has joined the club.

TUV NEL wins NMS project on Oil in Water Measurement

TUV NEL, in collaboration with LGC, has won a National Measurement System (NMS) project under the Measurement for Innovators (MFI) scheme. The project is entitled "Development of data to assess new oil in water analysis method measurements". It aims to develop a reference material and to establish the precision data for the new OSPAR GC-FID reference method, which has been implemented across the OSPAR nations since January 2007.

Revamped Oil in Water Monitoring Club website launched

The Oil in Water Monitoring Club website has been re-launched. The new website will give users greater access to topics of interest. One of the features of the new site is the search function for the Publications section which allows users to find specific information more easily.

The launch of the Club website is accompanied by a new way of communicating with the Club members via e-notice.

In the coming months, it is expected that a significant amount of technical information will be added to the Club website.
