The Oil-in-Water Monitoring Club
TUV NEL’s renowned Oil-in-Water Monitoring Club was established in October 2000. It was formed in recognition of the fact that there was no central contact point for information on the subject of oil-in-water monitoring.
Objectives
The club has several principal objectives:
- Keeping abreast of the legislative and technological developments;
- Provision of a central contact point on the subject of oil-in-water monitoring;
- Promotion of best practices in oil-in-water monitoring and hence reduction of oil pollution;
- Provision of a bridge between regulators, technology providers, users and R&D organisations
Club Activities
There are three main activities:
- Update and maintain the club website, which stores a large collection of technical information including all the papers presented at TUV NEL’s previous Oil-in-Water Monitoring Workshop events.
- Organise the annual club meeting where technical presentations are made by club members regarding development, field operational experience and legislative updates.
- Regular information updates by emails
Since the formation of the club, some 50 companies have joined. More details about the club can be found under the Membership section.
